Privacy Statement

Although the POLG Pathogenicity Prediction Server ("the server") does not collect any personal information, there is some information that is automatically collected. The information that is automatically collected includes:

  1. The Internet Protocol (IP) address or host name of the computer that has accessed the website. An IP address only identifies the computer and not the user.
  2. The type of browser, its version and the operating system used to access the server.
  3. The date and time the user accessed the site.
  4. The query type used.
  5. The queries submitted.

The information above is automatically collected to help make the site more useful to its users. The server does not generally create a record or track information about individual users and their visits. However, MITOMAP and CHOP reserve the right to track users if there is a reason to believe that the site is being wrongfully accessed and/or abused.

The patient data used by the server are entirely anonymous and no information that would make identifying individual patients possible is stored in the database. The patient data have been collated from various publications, published in various scientific journals.
